The seventh Chinese Opera Performance will be staged in Zhangjiagang, a beautiful port city in Jiangsu province, on Oct 29 to Nov 3.

The much-loved variety show is an important part of the 2017 Yangtze River Culture and Art Festival, which begins in early November.

Performers of a wide range of Chinese Opera styles will be appearing in Zhangjiagang during the Performance, with 33 operas in total set to be staged. There are also more than 20 comedy skits on the bill.

This will be the fifth time that Zhangjiagang has hosted the Chinese Opera Performance since 2007. The event provides an important platform for opera performers to exchange ideas and promote traditional culture.
