Zhangjiagang :
Transportation

Zhangjiagang is the world’s first international sanitary port. It has 66 berths that over 10,000 tons level and connects to 140 ports all over the world. It is the largest international trade port on the Yangtze River.

Zhangjiagang is convenient for transportation as both the Yanjiang Highway and Xizhang Highway cross the city. Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Nantong are only one hour by car ride from Zhangjiagang. Getting to Nanjing and Hangzhou takes only 2 hours.

The Hutong railway, the Yanjiang intercity railway (which is still on the drawing board) and the Tongsujia railway hub will be located in Zhangjiagang, making Zhangjiagang an important traffic center in the Yangtze River Delta.

There are many important international airports located around Zhangjiagang, including Shanghai Pudong Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.

Its excellent location allows Zhangjiagang to develop a three-dimensional traffic network combining water, land and air transportation.
